What is GTM Alpha?
GTM Alpha is a go-to-market tool by Shashwat Ghosh of Helix GTM Consulting. It scores four GTM motions with the EPIC framework (Ecosystem and ABM, Product-Led Growth, Inbound and Outbound Demand Generation, Community-Led Advocacy) from 1 to 10 and names the motion to lead with. It runs as an MCP server for Claude and other AI assistants, and as a Premium Audit report on this site.
How is the EPIC score calculated?
Each motion starts from a default for the company's stage (Seed, Series A, Series B, Series C or later, Bootstrapped). Fixed adjustments follow for contract value, deal cycle, net revenue retention, number of addressable accounts, self-serve, main deal source and region. Product-Led is capped at 4 in logistics, procurement, manufacturing, healthcare and government. Scores are kept between 1 and 10, then three checks can add a warning: a leaky bucket, AI search disruption of inbound, and a hybrid motion. The company name never affects the score.
How do I use GTM Alpha in Claude?
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://gtmalpha.gtmhelix.com/mcp with no sign-in. In Claude Code run: claude mcp add --transport http gtm-alpha https://gtmalpha.gtmhelix.com/mcp. Then ask, for example: Use GTM Alpha to run an EPIC audit on our GTM.
Is GTM Alpha free?
Yes, while it is in testing. The MCP tools are free and need no account, and the Premium Audit report is shown straight after the form, with no payment step.
What data does GTM Alpha keep?
The MCP server and the Premium Audit form store and log nothing: the form's answers build your report in that request and are then dropped. The EPIC audit API stores what you send in Netlify Blobs until you ask for deletion. The privacy policy lists every field.
